This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

In order to complete this qualification, students must complete 240 hours of unpaid work (vocational placement) as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Students must also attend face to face classes, up to four days per week. Placement will be provided, however students will be required to complete placement during breaks and outside of their face to face classes.
